Neolamprologus leleupi Bulu Point
Size: Adults are usually 3.0 to 5.0 inches in aquarium environment. Sex differences: Males and females have an identical appearance. Males attain a larger size. Aquarium behavior: Neolamprologus leleupi can be kept with a variety of different cichlids. They are somewhat aggressive and can take care of themselves in most situations. Specimens will swim in and out rocks as well as through open water. Aquarium diet: N. leleupi readily accept most foods--flakes, frozen and live. A combination of foods is recommended. Observed spawning habits: N. leleupi is a substrate spawner. The female will lay eggs in a cave or crevice. Once hatched and free swimming, the young are closely guarded by the female. Other information: N. leleupi Bulu Point is one of the nicer variants of leleupi. It has an orange/yellow coloration. BACK TO ARMKE'S RARE AQUARIUM FISH
