2010 Dated Wurstfest Mugs, OH5 2010-2B (blue bands) and
OH5 2010-2G (gold edition)

Maker: "Gold Edition" (left) by Thewalt/Germany in special production for OHI Collectibles. Blue-banded (right) produced in Germany under auspices of Thewalt. The lidded stein is identical to the "Gold Edition" mug except for the addition of the pewter lid.

Material: Stoneware.

Design: Transfer decoration produced from design expressly created for the 2010 Wurstfest Mug and Stein at OHI’s request by Brent McCarthy, working in behalf of the New Braunfels Art League. McCarthy's original artwork portrays three young Wurstfesters in costume holding beer steins and joining in the singing of "Ein Prosit".

Lid: Pewter lid is adorned with a porcelain inlay featuring the official "Wurstfest 50 Years" logo. There is a ball thumblift.

Text: "Ein Prosit" is at the top. Numerals designating the year--2010--are prominent on the front of the design. The lettering "Wurstfest" is incorporated into the lower band on the stein.

Notes: Total mug edition limited to 800 mugs, 200 cream with gold banding (Gold Edition) and 600 gray with blue banding.Total stein edition limited to 100 steins, all with gold banding on a cream-colored body.

Details: The mugs sport the Thewalt logo in the form of an impressed stamp on the bottom. Here's what the original design looks like:
