From the Book, 25 Years of Wurstfest Mugs: "By the end of Wurstfest 1993, Paul Tadock had already mentally drawn his design for what would become the 1994 Wurstfest Mug, Fritz Finds Fraulein. He had a mischievous smile on his face when he told me, 'Fritz is going to find him a girlfriend.' Like everyone else, I had to wait a while to see the result, but the wait was worth it. Nearly everyone agrees that, despite a tough act to follow, Paul managed. We reduced the edition size by 100 pieces from 1993--1500 mugs and 150 steins--but, after the lukewarm acceptance of tghe earlier red- and green-banded mugs, we weighted our order in favor of the ever-popular blue banded mugs. The lid figurine, again sculpted by Paul and finished by Opa's Haus, depicted Fritz playing the accordion. The result was rather a happy one. Prior to Wurstfest 1995, the stein had sold out, and there were less than 100 mugs left representing both color varieties. Original prices--for the fourth year in a row--were $19.50 for the mug and $75.00 for the stein." --Ken Armke
